Marketing Manager, DAVID SENO, China Allan grew up in the old French Concession area of Shanghai, and enjoyed a life of luxury when he was very young. Like his father, he is very introverted. Following his family's traditional culture, Allan learned erhu when he was very young, and when he was 12 he was admitted to the Shanghai Theatre Academy to learn music. His talent enabled him to enter the Composing & Conducting Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music at the age of 19. Later he became one of the earliest art students from China to study abroad, and received a master's degree in the US, from the Composition Department of Hartt School of Music.

In the United States, Allan tried a variety of occupations. One of the most interesting, and also the one which influenced him the most, was when he was a stockbroker in New York. Allan later said, “Although I did very well as a stockbroker, it was only short-term. I always knew that I would ultimately work in the arts.” Allan also worked for a performing troupe of musicians under the Lincoln Center, which enabled him to travel to Europe. His life in America taught him how to combine art with commerce, and his time in Europe allowed him to think more deeply about different cultures and communication between east and west.

First: I believe in love.” Allan has known his wife since they were children together. “Second: I am convinced that everybody loves beauty. David Seno jewellery perfectly converts abstract love into reality. This feeling of reality is more valuable than any promise.”

David Seno’s customers include Hollywood stars, artists, the upper classes, and also ordinary members of society. Now that the brand has arrived in China, Allan believes that the opportunities are better than ever. “When people are in love, they long for beauty. And David Seno jewellery is the most beautiful. I believe that good things must be accompanied by a long history, spirit of devotion, fine detail, and loving care.”
